‘A Trip to the Moon’ at Body & Soul 2013

Our finished art installation ‘A Trip to the Moon’ at ‘Body & Soul 2013’

We really enjoyed being a part of this festival. The opportunity to exhibit at ‘Body & Soul’ was a fantastic experience- personally, artistically, socially, and educationally for everyone involved.

Modern cameras, telephones, and apps provided the means for people to create their own individual pictures at the installation during the festival to take away free of charge, these photos were subsequently uploaded to various social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, creating a internet legacy that will last.

Recognising this we have invited festival-goers to send us their own shots for upload to this blog. Here are a few pictures that people have sent us already. We have also added a few extra effects such as stars and clouds to some of them.

If you have photo of yourself on our moon send it along to us and we will upload it and maybe add a few extra effects to them for you.

Here are a few more photo of the other artworks and stages that were on display at the festival.

“I can’t believe its all over. I love all of the pictures that people took on our moon.” – Mary McGuirk

“I was shocked to see that people had used knickers and bras as decorations. Me and the lads found this very funny.” -Anthony Murray

“The moon did take a tumble on the last day and had to be put away for health and safety reasons. We are planning on working on its security and adding in extra supports. Fingers crossed that we get our moon into another festival.”- Matthew Colgan
