Laya Healthcare’s City Spectacular

Last Friday a small group of us went into Merrion Square to see the Street Performance World Championships.

The weather was amazing and we had a lovely picnic on the grass before checking out the performances and art installations around the park.

It was a great day and we will definitely be coming back again next year.

“I really like Yukin Koakira’s performance. He had a beatbox over his shoulder and created art whilst dancing around the place. It was great fun watching him.

The balloon stand by Mr. Balloonatic was also very impressive and Rachel and Emma bought two figures, Olaf from Frozen and Princess Sophia the First.

The weather was lovely and it was a great way to start the weekend.” – Matthew Colgan

We also loved JOHNman’s  Woody Woodman performance. His costume was amazing and it was a surreal experience to meet him.

“I thought that the performers were amazing. The guy dressed as a tree was the best, he had lovely green eyes. The day itself was great. We had a lovely picnic in the park.” – Maureen Rooney

The balloon stand by Mr. Balloonatic was brilliant! Very impressive work by all the highly entertaining staff.

This installation in the forest reminded us that every cloud has a silver lining.

Matthew thought that they were like brain storms and this is a picture of him thinking up his next great masterpiece.
