A number of participants from our centre took part in a ‘Healthy Eating Made Easy’ cookery course. This course is run in conjunction with the Northside Partnership. The aim of the course is to support people that want to eat healthier but are on a budget. The main goal of the course is to improve our nutritional knowledge and cooking skills.
Two leaders (Fran and Phil) ran the course in a fun informative and interactive manner. During the six weeks we learnt how to cook basic meals such as fish cakes, home-made burgers, chicken goujons, potato wedges, pizza, soup, brown bread, spaghetti bolognese and apple crumble.
Following the course our participants were presented with certificates.
“It was a great course, I really enjoyed it.” – Mary Finnegan.
