Estuary Celtic Football Team

At the end of another football season Estuary Celtic have done themselves proud by finishing in joint first place in the 7 aside league and second place in the 5 aside league.

This was a busy year for us. Competing in two leagues meant a lot of work and commitment from the team. We also joined up with a local club and are now officially part of Swords Celtic F.C.

We would like to thanks Eddie Darcy (club secretary) for his help in making this happen and organising a new football kit for us.

“This year was very exciting for us. We joined up with Swords Celtic and we got really cool new jerseys. The 7 aside league was great fun and I can’t wait to play it again next season. I love the bigger pitch and playing in our new club” – Paddy McManus

“I was very proud to be captain of our team this year. It was a great season finishing in second place; next year we want to win the cup” – Paddy Tunstead

“I enjoyed the football over the whole season and had a lots of fun” – Mark Leahy

“On the day of the finals we had two games. In our first game, against Cabo, we played our best but we didn’t win that game. We won our second game against Menni Movers which put us in second place, it was a magic day!” – Mathew Colgon
