Healthy Granola

As part of our healthy eating programme, we decided to make a healthy breakfast/brunch granola.

This granola has no sugar and consists mainly of nutritious oats, seeds and nuts.


  • 8 oz Porridge oats (jumbo is best)

  • 2 cups of Nuts (walnuts, almonds, hazelnuts, pecan nuts etc.)

  • 1 cup of Seeds (chia, sunflower, poppy, sesame etc.)

  • 1 tablespoon of coconut oil

  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence.


  • Line a swiss roll tin with grease proof paper.

  • Pour a layer of oats evenly on paper.

  • Top with selection of nuts.

  • Top with selection of seeds.

  • Put 1-2 tablespoon of coconut oil on top.

  • Put 1-2 teaspoon of vanilla essence on top.

  • Roast in oven for 25-30 minutes at gas mark 4.
